Ras Al Khaimah is the northerly Emirate at UAE's West Coast. The total area is about 1684 km² & ranks fourth among the seven emirates in terms of area. The ruler of Ras Al Khaimah is His Highness Sheikh Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi. The population of this Emirate is 928, 360.There are fertile lands in Ras al Khaimah at the foot of the mountains. It also has archeological sites & tourist attractions.

The economy of Ras Al Khaimah relies on the performance of the industrial, business, agricultural & service centers. There are a number of large size industries depending on local resources, as this Emirate is rich with minerals & raw materials. Traditional occupations of this Emirate are mainly fishing, trading & agriculture, which have been heavily modernized to meet the demands of UAE's economy.

The raw material industries include a ceramics factory. There are also units for production of tiles, bricks, paving stones, marble, mosaic, ready mix concentrate, asphalt & paints.

Fruits, vegetables, milk, poultry are supplied to the other Emirates from here. Ras al Khaimah also has a port & an International Airport.
